Privacy Policy

Carmin ("we") provides the Nova Shopping app, which helps you build and share shopping lists. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

Information we collect

• Your list content, the items you add (typed, spoken, shared links, or photos) and their status.
• Account information, a unique account ID and, if you sign in, the name, email, and profile photo from your Apple or Google account (via Firebase Authentication).
• Device information, a device identifier and push-notification token so we can sync and notify you.
• Voice requests, if you connect Alexa, the item text from a voice request ("add milk") is sent to us to place on your list.

How we use it

• To create, sync, and share your shopping lists across your devices and household.
• To find and display products for the items you add.
• To send notifications about your list (e.g. when an item is ready or added by a partner).
• To operate, secure, and improve the service.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that run the app on our behalf, including Google Firebase (authentication, notifications, crash reporting) and Amazon Alexa (only if you connect it), and when required by law.

Alexa connection

Connecting Alexa is optional. When linked, items you add by voice are sent to Nova Shopping and placed on your chosen list. You can unlink at any time from the Alexa app, which stops the connection.

Your choices & retention

You can edit or remove list items and disconnect integrations at any time. We keep your data for as long as your account is active. To delete your account and associated data, contact us at tamta@getcarmin.com.
